Demand for Android tablets has dwindled in the last few years, partly due to the increase of high-end flagship smartphones. Of course, those who still want one can get them at highly discounted deals. Take the 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 for example, it launched in September as a $500 tablet. Now, U.S. electronics retailer Adorama is selling it for just $360 on eBay.

According to the popular e-commerce site's product listing, the tablet is available in white and black. The purchase will be shipped free for customers living in mainland U.S. Potential buyers in Alaska and Hawaii as well as those in Canada and Europe, will have to shed out cash for the delivery. Those in New York and New Jersey can skip sales tax.

The Tab S2 has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1536 x 2048 resolution display and is powered by an eight-core CPU. Battery capacity is at 5,870 mAh while Android 5.0.2 is pre-installed, as per GSMArena.

The tablet is fitted with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of native storage. Hard disk space can be expanded up to 128GB via a micro-SD card slot. There's also support for Bluetooth v4.1, A-GPS, GLONASS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. However, the device can't play FM radio. Lastly, camera combo is at eight and two megapixels.

The Tab S2 is one of the most high-end tablets available in the market today. It has been widely lauded for its display, processor and super-thin 5.6-millimeter build.

"There's still plenty of reason[s] to invest in this reading and web surfing-friendly tablet. Its size and shape is better suited for everything but video, and for some, that's a big plus," said gadget reviewer Matt Swider of TechRadar. "It has [a] stronger multitasking functionality to rival iOS 9 and features that Google isn't premiering until the Android Marshmallow launch."

He added that the Tab S2 carries only a handful of upgrades over its predecessor, the Tab S from 2014, but it can still keep up with Apple's iPad Air 2.

Meanwhile, those looking for an even larger device can check out the 18.4-inch Galaxy View. The TV-sized tablet is currently available on Amazon for $500.

It wasn't indicated if the discount would be permanent or if it's for a limited time only. Considering the holiday shopping rush has already started, it's most probably a temporary promo intended to increase holiday sales. If would-be consumers wait too long to buy the 18.4-inch Galaxy View, they might lose the chance of saving $100.
