Taylor Swift Plans Extended Break, No New Tours for 3 Years?
Taylor Swift is planning to take an extended break once her 1989 World Tour is over, and word is the hiatus could largely keep her off the music scene for years to come.
Hollywood Life reports after a year that seemingly had her on the road touring every week, the "Shake It Off" singer now longs to take time off for herself and her blossoming relationship with DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris.
"Taylor hasn't officially set a time limit for how long she's taking off but she's excited," a source said. "Taylor is really looking forward to an extended break after her tour and the holidays. She will still write and collaborate when the timing is right but she has been telling people not to expect a new album from her for potentially three years."
Reportedly, Swift's first big celebration will be her 26th birthday on Dec. 13, for which she is rumored to be planning to fly Harris and several members of her "Girl Squad" to Australia. The bash is expected to be held on Hamilton Island. Pals Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne and maybe even Selena Gomez are all expected to be on hand for the celebration.
Word is the party guest list could also include Oprah Winfrey, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner.
It's been a whirlwind period for Swift, who is also rumored to be growing closer to 31-year-old, year-long boyfriend Harris. The two recently dined with Hollywood star Jason Statham and his model girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Beverly Hills at the exclusive Palm Restaurant. The couple are rumored to be planning to spend the upcoming holidays together as well.
"They are looking forward to a handful of nights dining in and lounging in pajamas, watching movies and hanging with her cats," a source said. "They want to do the homebody thing and not really go anywhere since she has been traveling for her tour."
