Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Cast News: Halo 5 Actress Laura Bailey Confirmed to Voice Character
Veteran voice actress Laura Bailey, who worked on such games as Halo 5: Guardians and BioShock Infinite, has been confirmed to be joining the cast of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
Sony released a behind-the-scenes image on the Playstation Blog of Laura Bailey doing performance capture with fellow actor, Nolan North. The company also confirmed Bailey will appear on a panel at PlayStation Experience 2015 on Saturday, Dec. 15 in San Francisco.
The 3 p.m. PST panel, "Uncharted 4: Stories from the Performance Capture Set," will feature Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann, as well as key members of the cast, including North, who voices protagonist Nathan Drake.
Also present will be Richard McGonagle, who portrays Drake's mentor and longtime friend Sully, and Troy Baker, who plays Drake's brother, Sam.
It is unknown what role Bailey will play in the upcoming game, but from the set image it is clear her character will have some type of interaction with Drake. The panel promises to show "never before seen cinematic clips and behind the scenes videos," so fans will likely find out more soon.
So far Naughty Dog has been mostly tight-lipped about the storyline of Uncharted 4, saying only that the game will mark a definitive end to Drake's adventures.
The development team has devoted much time to making sure this final entry will be bring a fantastic and fitting finale to the treasure hunter's story. The studio even pushed back the game's release date to get the ending just right, as announced on their official blog.
"Even when I'm describing the ending, it's a pretty... Well, I guess this is a little bit of a spoil... Nah, I'm not going to say it! But there is something that happens that requires quite a bit of work for what we want it to do, and again we would have had to reduce that scope and reduce that ambition to meet that [original] deadline," Druckmann said to PlayStation Magazine, via GameRant.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is scheduled to hit stores on March 18, 2016, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
