NBA 2K16 News: Patch Update Tries to Address Bugs, More Bugs Surface
NBA 2K16 released a patch update to address bugs and glitches found in the game. Unfortunately, new bugs accompanied the patch update.
When 2K Sports announced that they would be addressing bugs and glitches with a third patch update, NBA 2K16 players hoped that their gaming experience would improve. 2K Sports developers have admitted that they did not put a major effort into the patch because they have been focusing on next year's NBA 2K16, the Knoxville Daily Sun reports.
The goal of Patch 3 was to fix some glitches and bugs that made the game perform irregularly. The team of developers wanted to make the game more balanced and realistic, but it turned out that it is even more buggy and difficult for players than before the patch was released.
NBA 2K16 players have been complaining on Reddit that the game is actually becoming harder to play and that they used to be able to perform specific game moves easier. Players have said that alley oops are pretty much useless now.
Other players have said that the ball is harder to control and randomly and frequently gets lost. One Reddit user by the name of Jazzham complains that everybody seems to drop the ball for no reason.
"Even the best ball handlers in the game, if you dribble the ball near another player they will bounce it off their feet and then stand there frozen while the other guy picks it up. Of course when the CPU fumbles the ball, they immediately recover it again," the user said.
Other Reddit users say the computer opponent (the AI) has become much harder to beat. These users are blaming the bugs for the difficulty of playing against the AI.
The third patch to NBA 2K16 did bring the capability to design away uniforms in Pro-Am mode. This results in the correct jerseys being worn based on the game being at home or on the road in Pro-Am mode.
Hopefully NBA 2K16 gets a fourth patch soon to address these new bugs.
