'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Episode 9 Spoilers: BAU Tackles Online Drug Ring, Dirty Dozen in 'Internal Affairs'
The BAU will take on a case involving an underground internet drug ring while they continue their hunt for the Dirty Dozen in this week's episode of "Criminal Minds."
In the build-up to Wednesday night's all-new episode, titled "Internal Affairs," CBS released a very creepy preview video that shows a woman sitting in a shack as a mysterious person with a limp comes inside and walks towards her. The person then takes off a scary mask as the woman lets out a scream.
The synopsis for the episode also reveals that the elite FBI agents will work with the National Security Agency (NSA) to bust an online drug ring. The BAU may also team up with the NSA to track down the Dirty Dozen.
"After two undercover DEA agents are murdered and a third goes missing, the BAU joins the NSA to investigate whether an underground Internet drug syndicate is involved. Also, Hotch hopes the team's work with the NSA brings them closer to finding the 'Dirty Dozen' hitmen ring," the synopsis reads, according to CarterMatt.
Meanwhile, Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) will enroll in the witness protection program after she becomes the Dirty Dozen's next target.
Later in the season, Rossi (Joe Mantegna) may get another shot at love when he reunites with his second ex-wife. Although he has vowed to never remarry after his three divorces, it appears that he might have a change of heart when he reconnects with Hayden (Paulette Ivory), the mother of his daughter Joy (Amber Stevens).
"We're talking about, since Joy is in the picture, her mom being in the picture again as well," executive producer Erica Messer teased, reports TV Guide. "We haven't ironed all of that out yet ... but that's been a point of discussion that we've had. That might be a nice thing for Rossi to find later in life, to actually find that happiness that he was looking for so much when he was younger."
Episode 9 of Season 11 of "Criminal Minds" will premiere on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
