It's finally here -- even though it shouldn't be! The Samsung Galaxy S5 was sold in Korea way ahead of the drop date of April 11, causing some U.S. retailers to buck protocol and sell the highly anticipated phone ahead of time as well!

According to the International Business Times, SK Telecom -- the leading cellular service provider in South Korea -- has already offered the Galaxy S5. Samsung, of course, isn't happy about this, releasing a statement saying that it's "puzzled" by the actions of the Asian telecom provider. The company has also said that it plans to issue a suspension notice to the provider beginning on April 5. This suspension will be in place for 45 days and will ban the telecom provider from selling any new devices, per the regulations put forth in South Korea.

Thanks to SK Telecom's actions, other South Korean telecom providers are following suit, despite the risk of suspension by Samsung. Companies such as LG Uplus Corp. and KT Corp. also intended to release the smartphone early.

And, according to CNET, it's not just the South Korean telecom providers that are defying the orders put forth by Samsung: there are a few unnamed "rogue" U.S. telecom providers that are doing the same thing. But it's not just the Galaxy S5 that they're offering for early sale -- the Samsung Gear 2 Neo and the GearFit 2, also not yet available for sale, are being offered for sale in the U.K.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is an upcoming Android smartphone produced by Samsung Electronics, which serves as the immediate successor to 2013's Galaxy S4. Unveiled on Feb. 24, 2014 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, it is expected to be generally released on April 11, 2014. As with the S4, the S5 is an evolution of the prior year's model, placing a particular emphasis on an improved build quality, dust and water resistance, a more refined user experience, new security features such as a fingerprint reader, and an updated camera.
