NFL Week 13 Schedule & Predictions 2015: 5 Teams Who Must Win This Week's Games
Each and every week is becoming more critical as we head into the final month of the regular season. Battles for division titles, No. 1 seeds and wild card spots couldn't be hotter. This week numerous teams face must win games.
Here are five teams who must win Week 13 games.
1. New England Patriots
It was a devastating loss on Sunday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, but the New England Patriots have to get back on the right track. Fortunately for Patriots fans, Rob Gronkowski has no structural damage, and he is not expected to miss the remainder of the regular season. Now 10-1, the Patriots are still the No. 1 seed in the AFC, but they have to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to avoid a losing streak. The Patriots will be at home, and just like old times, it looks likes they will be taking on Mark Sanchez. The Broncos are only one game behind the Patriots, and they hold the tiebreaker.
2. Washington Redskins
What is going on in the NFC East? Not a single team has a winning record, and now the Washington Redskins are actually in first place with a 5-6 record. The Redskins win over the New York Giants was their first in the last six games against them. The Redskins haven't been impressive, but they are in first place. They will be at home on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, who haven't won a single game without Tony Romo this season. The Redskins have yet to win consecutive games this entire season.
3. Atlanta Falcons
After starting off a perfect 5-0, the Atlanta Falcons have now lost five of their last six games and four in a row. The Carolina Panthers have all but clinched the NFC South, and Cam Newton is in the running for MVP. Matt Ryan is throwing far too many red zone interceptions, and it's costing the Falcons big time. The Falcons are still very much in the running for a wild card spot. The Falcons will now embark on a three game road trip beginning with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons have to get a win with so many teams fighting for a wild card spot.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
Once left for dead, the Kansas City Chiefs now have the second longest win streak in the NFL and longest in the AFC. The Chiefs have won five straight games, and control their own destiny for a wild card spot. Alex Smith and Jeremy Maclin have found that downfield chemistry that was need so much. The 6-5 Chiefs will take on their bitter rival Oakland Raiders this week. The Raiders always play the Chiefs tough, so this won't be easy. The Chiefs can't afford to take their foot off the gas pedal because the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans and New York Jets are on in the same boat as them.
5. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are currently the No. 3 seed in the AFC behind only the Patriots and Broncos. The Bengals are playing very well this season, however they have lost two of their last three games. The Bengals absolutely have to beat the dreadful Cleveland Browns this week to even have a chance at the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Bengals annihilated the Browns back in Week 9, 31-10. Don't worry Bengals fans, it's not a prime time television game, so your team should do well.
