Singer Mariah Carey is known for being a diva and reports about her upcoming Holiday appearance at Pier 1 Imports in New York City are only supporting that reputation.

According to The New York Daily News, the singer will be kicking off a string of Holiday events with an exclusive appearance at a Pier 1 Imports pop store and will reportedly be making a whopping $300,000 to simply show up.

The star is set to be at the store for about an hour but will not be performing. Carey insisted her visit be advertised as an "appearance" so it wouldn't be confused with a performance.

The demands didn't stop there. The star reportedly also asked to get the final approval of the official invite before it went out. Carey requested that she be called "The Queen of Christmas" on the invitation and that guests be reminded they they will be joined by "the biggest selling female recording artist of all time."

Carey will be arriving to the event at 7:30 p.m., which means that guest will have to wait over 90 minutes to get a glimpse of the star.

"We are very excited to be working with Mariah Carey this holiday season, but we do not comment on private business matters," a representative for Pier 1 said.

Carey doesn't shy away from her diva reputation. Instead she recently explained she will continue to stand by it, reported Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm still always going to be a diva in certain ways and I don't mean that in the bad sense of the word," said the superstar. "I just mean, if there's a makeup artist there and they don't mind touching me up while I'm directing."

The star, who performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, will also be performing at the "Hot For The Holidays" concert in the Prudential Center on Dec. 5, along with Busta Rhymes, Puff Daddy, Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Fetty Wap and more.
