Owners of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection are in for a treat, as Sony has just announced the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta will be coming a day earlier than expected.

PlayStation Europe's Twitter account has revealed the beta will be available at 12 p.m. ET on Dec. 3.

According to Gamespot, the multiplayer beta client will be around 7GB, although this may vary depending on the region. The beta is also expected to available until Dec. 13.

As previously mentioned, the beta can only be accessed by those who purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which launched in October. The game features newly polished editions of the first three titles of Naughty Dog's acclaimed action-adventure series, originally released on the PlayStation 3.

DualShockers reports the beta will include two of eight new multiplayer maps planned for Uncharted 4's multiplayer.

Players will be able to use power-ups known as "mysticals," which pay homage to various magical artifacts in the series lore. For example, there is "The Staff of Ayar Manco," which reveals the opponent's location via radar, while "The Wrath of Eldorado" attacks nearby enemies with specters.

Another new feature is the "sidekick" system, that let's players summon temporary allies to their aid. Sidekicks range from snipers to medics, and they earn cash on behalf of players during the match. Players can equip as many as three sidekicks, though only one can spawn at a time.

Cash will be accumulated through play and by obtaining "treasures." It can then be used to purchase weapons and items from the store, or to further customize characters.

According to DualShockers, the beta will feature a large amount of content, and much more is planned when the full multiplayer drops with the game's release next year.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is scheduled to launch on March 18, 2016.
