Samsung Galaxy A Series Phones: New Smartphones Coming Out in April
Samsung has already announced three new smartphones, but they will not be coming out for a while. The Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 have been announced by Samsung, but the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be released before them.
Three new phones from Samsung will debut in April, Tech Radar reports. The Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 have less-impressive features than the Galaxy S series of phones, but they are good alternatives.
The three new phones will come to the UK in April 2016. Samsung said that the series of phones will be "expanded to global markets," which probably means that these phones will hit other markets even later in 2016.
The Galaxy A7 is the top of the line smartphone in the A series. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 3,300 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5 is the mid-range smartphone in the A series. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,900 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A3 is the low-end smartphone in the A series. It has the smallest screen in the series, just 4.7 inches. The small display also steps down in quality to 720p instead of HD quality like the other two smartphones in the series. The Galaxy A3 also has a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 2,300 mAh battery.
All three of the Galaxy A series phones will come pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Android 6 Marshmallow has been available for quite some time, so hopefully these smartphones will receive the Marshmallow upgrade quickly.
Storage on the A series phones starts off at just 16 GB, but Samsung decided to bring back the microSD slot so they can be expanded up to 128 GB.
The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will be capable of fast charging and also have the ability to use Samsung Pay with their fingerprint sensors.
The Galaxy S7 will be announced first, likely in February 2016.
