Caroline will have a difficult time facing coming to terms with being pregnant with Jo and Alaric's unborn twins in Thursday's all-new episode of "The Vampire Diaries."

The synopsis for the upcoming episode, which is titled "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," suggests that Caroline's unexpected pregnancy will also create new challenges in her relationship with Stefan.

"As Julian (guest star Todd Lasance) and Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) throw a party to celebrate Mary Louise (guest star Teressa Liane) and Nora's (guest star Scarlett Byrne) anniversary, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) set in motion a risky plan to eliminate a new threat posed by Julian. Meanwhile, following a major revelation uncovered by Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore), Caroline (Candice King) is forced to face her new reality, even as it threatens to destroy her relationship with Stefan," it reads, according to CarterMatt.

The CW also released a sneak peek video in light that shows Caroline struggling to face the stunning news that she is pregnant with the twin babies that Alaric and Jo were supposed to have before Jo was tragically murdered on her wedding day.

In the clip, Caroline is seen writing a diary entry to Elena (Nina Dobrev) explaining how she got pregnant, which was caused by the Gemini Coven. While she is writing, she gets a phone call and confesses that she has not figured out how to tell her boyfriend about her pregnancy.

Although Caroline's pregnancy will likely hurt her relationship with Stefan, it may also help her and Alaric form a stronger bond, which could explain how they ended up getting engaged in a flash-forward scene.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 8 premieres on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
