‘Clash of Clans’ December 2015 Update Coming Out Next Week? Newest Sneak Peeks Include Extra Defenses, Freeze Spell and Troop Upgrades
Mobile gamers are on the last leg before the "Clash of Clans" update shakes things up in a big way. Supercell has kept the sneak peeks coming and the latest ones have revealed interesting changes including new building defenses, the freeze spell in a new level, minion upgrades and much more.
According to a report from Yibada, it's likely that the new patch will drop anytime between the dates of Dec. 8 and Dec. 10. This is only a week away, so the details on the "Clash of Clans" features have been flowing more freely from the developer as of late.
One of the new sneak peeks revealed that storage for gold and elixir, which is now maxed out at Level 12. Considering the Town Hall can now be used to store units, the maximum capacity of Town Hall 11 now stands at 10 million gold and 10 million elixir. The Wizard Tower is also getting some love and upgraded up to Level 9 in the new patch.
Defense is also amped up for "Clash of Clans" with new defensive buildings for players who update all the way to Town Hall 11. Updating will grant players seven cannons, eight archer towers, five Wizard Towers and five X-bows. This is certainly a great incentive to update and a perfect fit for the map expansion.
Another significant improvement is the Freeze Spell, which is now unlocked at Town Hall 9 in Level 1. This will give those in Level 9 a good leg up against players of other Town Halls.
The first troop upgrade has also been announced in the most recent sneak peek. While no other specifics were revealed about them, the Minion will be getting upgraded up to Level 7. The boosting feature is also tweaked and decreased, now only lasting an hour per boost for five gems. This gives players more flexibility with their Boosts and gems.
There are a lot of upcoming changes that might unnerve long-time players of the game, but Supercell maintains these are done to make the experience even better for the community. In a recent interview with PlayClashOfClans on YouTube, Supercell representative Jonas explained that the team worked endlessly to produce an update that makes "Clash of Clans" as close to "that perfect game we'd like it to be."
"We need to make shields better, we need to make progression less stressful, we need to make skillful attacking better rewarded, and we need to relentlessly seek out these problems in our game experience and address these things that are keeping people from enjoying 'Clash' to its fullest potential," Jonas concluded.
