Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2's official release date is firmly set for Feb. 23, 2016. Those who are looking forward to the game can now preorder it.

Major Nelson revealed that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2's pre-order for Xbox One is now live. It can also be downloaded but will only be playable come its official release date, specifically beginning 12:01 am EST on Feb. 23.

PVZ fans can pick from the standard and deluxe versions of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2. Accordingly, those who will pre-order the standard edition will get Grass Effect Pack, which includes Z7 Imp & Mech in-game character variant.

Moreover, the basic version of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 also includes Emoji Pack which comes with 14 different emoji customization characters. There's one emoji for each of the character class available.

Aside from the full PVZ Garden Warfare 2 copy, pre-ordering the game will also give gamers access to full game download of Peggle 2, the ball and peg puzzler game from PopCap.

On the other hand, those who will pre-avail the deluxe version of Garden Warfare 2 will get all the perks from the standard edition plus a lot of other perks. These include "exclusive plant class custom accessories pack, exclusive zombie class custom accessories pack, mystery character variant pack, and PvZ Coins starter pack," the Major Nelson's post detailed.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, developed by PopCap and published by Electronic Arts, is a third-person shooter as well as a tower-defense video game. It will be available in different platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One.

In the game, "the zombies have conquered, and the plants are on the attack for the first time in this hilarious, action-packed shooter," according to the official site of PvZ. One of the features to anticipate is the Backyard Battleground, where players can edit their character's abilities and personalization, switch to co-op or multiplayer modes, select quests and a lot more.

There will be eight different game modes. One of these is a 24-player multiplayer mode called Herbal Assault. There's also co-op game modes allowing up to four players.
