Chris Brown Not Cooperating With Cops Probing Robbery?
Chris Brown isn't talking when it comes to tracking down the gun-wielding bandits who broke into his home over the summer and stole cash and other valuables.
TMZ reports the police investigation has now stalled, with members of the Los Angeles Police Department hinting Brown has no one to blame but himself for the lack of progress made on the July robbery, given the singer's noncooperation.
Several media outlets reported four people stormed Brown's home and briefly held his aunt captive at gunpoint before fleeing the scene. Word is Brown has yet to so much as provide investigators with a detailed list of all that was taken from him.
The best evidence lead officers are reported to have are fingerprints retrieved from an item the bandits dropped while scurrying from the scene. As of yet, no match has been found for the fingerprints, but rumors are the robbers are suspected to have been associates of the "Loyal" singer.
Just this week, Brown was forced to cancel a planned performance in Australia, after officials there denied him a visa for entry into the country. The denial stemmed from Brown's 2009 assault conviction on then girlfriend Rihanna.
In the wake of the decision, reps for Brown immediately released a statement in which he apologized to any fans who might be disappointed by the change in scheduling.
"Chris Brown's December 2015 tour in both Australia and New Zealand will not take place," the crew said in a statement. "Mr. Brown wishes to express his deepest gratitude to the fans for their support and looks forward to a successful tour in the near future."
In addition, Brown was also forced to miss out on a planned "The Daily Show" appearance, after staffers there also railed against his visit. He was eventually replaced on the show by Nick Cannon.
