6-year-old Brazilian Drummer Becomes Viral YouTube Star [Watch]
At only 6 years of age, when kids are usually spending time in playgrounds, Eduarda Henklein Baterista spends her time playing the drums like a professionally trained adult.
The Brazilian musical prodigy has her own YouTube channel, which features her playing a variety of songs on her pink drums, putting even the most skilled adult to shame.
Recently, a video of Henklein playing System of A Down's "Chop Suey" went viral and brought the talented youngster a lot of attention in the United Sates.
In the video, the little girl looks small compared to the drum set she's about to play. But, with a quick yawn, she gets ready and plays the song effortlessly.
While the video proves that she is very talented, some criticized the choice of song and worried about the song's content being too mature for her.
"I love system of a down, but having a 5 year old sit there for 5,000+ play through of this song isn't exactly good parenting. The lyrics alone a 5 year old shouldn't know," one commenter said.
Most, however, praised Henklein and her parents for supporting their child's talents.
"Chop Suey" isn't the only song by the band that Henklein tackled. The little girl also played the band's song "Toxicity" like it was no big deal. That video was filmed when she was still 5 years old.
One commenter posted, "I've officially given up on my drumming."
Another added, "what loser down votes that?" in response to the 93 dislikes on the video.
Henklein has several videos on her account that show her playing hits by Metallica, the Beatles and Pearl Jam. She has also made television appearances on Brazilian talent shows and talk shows, where she has performed Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle," reported Maxim.
