Despite previous reports that he would be unable to play in Charlotte's much anticipated game against the undefeated Golden State Warriors, Jeremy Lin was able to take the floor Wednesday night.

CBS Sports reported Tuesday that the Charlotte Hornets reserve guard's ability to play against Stephen Curry and the Warriors was questionable due to an ankle injury. However, Lin was declared ready to go at shootaround yesterday.

Lin's presence unfortunately didn't make much of a difference, as Golden State still came out on top, beating the Hornets 116-99 to extend their record to 20-0.

Charlotte native Curry was on fire, scoring 28 points in the third quarter and ending the game with 40. He shot 14 of 18 from the field, including 8 threes.

Lin played just under 14 minutes, contributing 5 points on 1 of 2 from the field.

So far this season, the point guard has done a decent job off the bench for Charlotte, averaging 10.9 points and 2.9 assists in the last month.

On an emotional level, the former NBA phenomenon seems to be well adjusted. According to CrossMap, Lin wrote an email to himself titled "Jeremy's Prayer Request 13," in which he reflected on his experiences on the court this season.

"First is a praise to God for softening my prideful heart to have recently found supernatural peace and rest, regardless of my circumstances. As I start my 6th year in the NBA, I'd say I've enjoyed the first couple months of this season more than any other season, mainly because God is showing me more and more the intricacies of understanding that my identity as a person isn't in my job or performance, but in Him," he wrote.

Lin's Christian faith plays a huge role in his life. He recently revealed that he started a digital bible study group with his teammates, Christian Post reports.
