WWE: Roman Reigns to Have Own Stable Called 'The Family'
Roman Reigns has started his road to regaining the WWE world heavyweight title by feuding with current champion, Sheamus. According to Wrestling Inc, Reigns will be having his own stable called "The Family" to counter the newly formed "League of Nations."
Sheamus, King Barrett, Rusev and U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio are the members of "League of Nations," which is created to stack the odds against Reigns. However, Dean Ambrose and The Usos showed up to help him and the reaction from the crowd that pushed WWE to completely make them a stable.
Ambrose and The Usos are fan favorites, and their main goal is to help Reigns get over more with the fans. The group's name, "The Family," is appropriate enough to make it work, per Inquisitr. Ambrose and Reigns have considered themselves brothers due to their days as members of "The Shield" and their long-standing hatred towards Seth Rollins.
The addition of Jey and Jimmy Uso is an obvious choice for members of "The Family" because they are really family members. The Usos are twin sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, who is a first cousin of Reigns. They are all members of the Anoa'i family of wrestlers that also includes "High Chief" Peter Maivia, "The Wild Samoans" Afa and Sika, Yokozuna, Rosey, Umaga and "The Rock."
"The Family" is now set to feud with "League of Nations" that will eventually lead to a match with the head of "The Authority," Triple H, who has been giving Reigns all he can handle in order to become the WWE champion. Bleacher Report speculates that one of the main matches on WrestleMania 32 will involve Reigns and Triple H.
However, Travis Hopson of Fansided thinks that forming a stable for Reigns is a bad move by the WWE. He noted that the former WWE champion will have matches against the members of "League of Nations" in the coming months that may ruin his momentum. Fans have started a love-hate relationship with Reigns in the past few months, but the smart fans are still not behind him.
Hopson also adds that Reigns will also be forced to become a leader that will need to do promos, but he is not known to be any good with the microphone. He is the silent, athletic, ass kicker-type of wrestler that fans want to cheer. It will also be bad for Ambrose and The Usos because their current feuds with Kevin Owens and The New Day, respectively, will be less prioritized.
