Chris Brown's Washington assault case has taken another turn in his defense. The District of Columbia police have opened an internal affairs investigation into statements provided by a police officer. The police officer's statement, giving upon arriving at the scene, is being challenged by another official who heard a conversation between the police officer and one of Brown's aquaintances.
Chris Brown may be guilty of some things but his lawyers say he is not guilty of the Washington assault. When offered a plea deal to just plea guilty to the Washington Hotel assault, his lawyers said no. Brown's lawyers are confident that a video surveillance has the real truth behind what happened that day.
