Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel said his country will no longer participate in the Summit of the Americas in June after the U.S. failed to extend a proper invitation.

Cuban leader Miguel Diaz-Canel announced on Thursday the monetary unification between the island's two currencies and also said that workers' salaries would be increased.
Fidel and Raul Castro have been the leaders of Cuba for the past 60 years although it will end on Feb. 24, 2018 when Miguel Diaz-Canel finally takes over. The 55-year-old became the first vice-president of the Council of State back in 2013 and has been given the stamp of approval by Raul Castro.
