Amazon started a special daily discount sale that will run until Dec. 17. The promotion is designed to help customers purchase holiday gifts with a variety of deals everyday.

The 12 Days of Deals from Amazon started Sunday, CNet reports. The promotion features a different product category each day.

On Monday, it was the Kids Day of Deals, with the Fire Kids Edition tablet being discounted by $10. Kids Day of Deals also featured 30 percent off select quad-copters, Nerf Walkie Talkies for $12.49, and 60 percent off select remote control vehicles from Maisto.

Tuesday is the Gamer Day of Deals. The Fire TV will be discounted by $15, down to $84.99. Additionally, gamers can save $150 on the Alienware Alpha ASM100-1580 Console.

On Wednesday the site will offer the Foodie/Entertainer Day of Deals. Select SodaStream products will be reduced by 30 percent.

Friday will be the Globe-Trotter Day of Deals. The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet will drop by $20 on this day only.

Monday, Dec. 14 will be Tech Enthusiast Day of Deals. The Amazon Firde HD 10 tablet will drop by $50 and the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite will drop by $20. Two laptops will be discounted as well, with an ASUS Full-HD Intel Core i3 laptop dropping by 30 percent and a Toshiba Core i5 dropping by 25 percent.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15 Amazon will feature the Fashion and Beauty Day of Deals. Philips-Norelco and Braun shavers will be discounted by up to $60. Additionally, oral care products like the Oral-B and Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes will be discounted by up to $30.

The final day of the promotion, Dec. 17., will be the Elephant Gifts/Stocking Stuffers Day of Deals. On this day, an Acer 8-inch tablet will be on sale for $79.
