Mortal Kombat X is getting a second set of downloadable content (DLC) that will include four new playable characters, but PC users will not see the extra content. Kombat Pack 2 is expected to be released in the coming months for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Those who play Mortal Kombat X will not be getting a chance to get additional content to their version of the game, Kotaku reports. This likely means the end of support to the PC version of the game.

A new version of Mortal Kombat X is coming out, and it will be called Mortal Kombat XL. The game will be designed for those who do not currently have a copy of Mortal Kombat X, and it will include both Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2. When the game was announced, there was no mention of a PC version. The game will go on sale March 1.

Consoles Only

Fans asked in a Mortal Kombat forum if there would be DLC content for the PC version of Mortal Kombat X. A "community specialist" from NetherRealm Studios replied that "Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only."

Kombat Pack 2 comes with the four playable characters Tri-Borg, Bo' Rai Cho, the creature from "Alien" and Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and PC players will be missing out.

A Fourth Variation of Tri-Borg

Tri-Borg is a combination of Cyrax, Sektor and Cyber Smoke, but he actually has a fourth variation. At the ESL finals, the NetherRealm Studios team showed off the Sub-Zero variation of Tri-Borg.

Tri-Borg will be the first character in Mortal Kombat to have a fourth variation. In the video, Tri-Borg is capable of firing ice balls from his hands and freezing his opponent, just like Sub-Zero.
