NBA Playoffs Basketball Schedule for Tuesday, April 29
The first round of the NBA playoffs are almost complete and we have seen some great basketball. We've seen upsets, a record number of overtimes, and game winning shots. No game can be taken for granted during this postseason. Tuesday night has three games for NBA fans to watch, so let's take a look at them.
Washington Wizards at Chicago Bulls
Game 5, Wizards lead series 3-1.
The Bulls offense is hard to watch at times. Without starting point guard and former MVP Derrick Rose to set the tempo, the Bulls don't have much of a system. The Wizards will attempt to eliminate the Bulls on the road, in Chicago. The last game in Chicago, (game 2) the Wizards stole a victory in overtime 101-99. As a matter of fact, the Wizards are 2-0 in Chicago in this series. Game five can be seen nationally, on TNT at 8:00 Eastern Time.
Memphis Grizzlies at Oklahoma City Thunder
Game 5, series tied 2-2.
What an epic series this has been. The last three games have all gone to overtime, with the Grizzlies winning two of them. The Grizzlies have shown they are capable of shutting down and containing Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. The Grizzlies front court, of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol have played elite defense. The Thunder do, however, hold a huge edge in offense. A classic series of elite offense verse elite defense. Game five will be played at Oklahoma with the winner taking a 3-2 series lead and a chance to close out the series in game 6. Game 5 can be seen exclusively on NBATV at 9:00 Eastern Time.
Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers
Game 5, series tied 2-2.
So much controversy has surrounded this series after Clippers owner Donald Sterling's comments. But the players still have a series to win. Game five will be played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the Clippers have a chance to take a 3-2 series lead. Stephen Curry is only averaging 21.8 points per game so far, but he is doing a great job of ball distribution. The Clippers need Blake Griffin and Chris Paul to put on a show and play better defense. NBA fans can tune in to TNT at 9:00 Eastern Time to watch these high-powered offenses collide.
What makes this night in the NBA so great is that, after these games are played, no series will be tied. The ramifications are huge for tonight and basketball fans must tune in.
