A still from a Pepsi commercial starring Vergara became a meme about Latina desires. Replacing a can of Pepsi as the object of Vergara's desire, the meme makes a joke of Latinas who day dream about chocolate, tattoos and muscles.

Latinas and Attitude

Watching Vergara act on "Modern Family" or just watching the actress during a television interview reveals the star's feisty persona. It's no surprise that she would be used as a backdrop to explain Latina attitude in memes.

Supporting Role

On the red carpet, Vergara often looks stunning. At the 2016 Academy Awards, the actress wore a strapless blue gown that showed off her great figure. However, it wasn't the dress that the Internet praised, but the bra that was giving the actress chest support. The actress suffered no wardrobe malfunctions despite having no straps to support her bodice.

Taxi vs. Uber

The actress made a surprise appearance at the 2016 Grammys during Pitbull's performance of his song "El Taxi." Vergara came out on stage dressed like a yellow taxi cab. This led some to compare her look at the Grammys to her dress at the Oscars as if the two represented a taxi and an Uber car. The meme was shared by many social media accounts the day after the performance, including radio station La Mega 97.9 NYC.

Freedom of Expression

Vergara's many lines from "Modern Family" have made for great #Latinasbelike memes. One about excusing Latinas for irrational behavior is no exception, and it has become one of the more popular memes.

Don't Mess With a Latina

The actress has also been taken as an example that Latinas are dangerous when upset and shouldn't be messed with. An image of her with a gun from Robert Rodriguez's 2013 film "Machete Kills" has been used to make fun of the stereotype that all Latinas will become violent if treated badly, especially toward men.
