"Orphan Black" is back in 2017 for one last close up.

BBC America execs recently announced that the original sci-fi series' fifth season will be its last, coming in the form of a 10-episode season that will air on that network as well as that as Canadian network partner Space.

Tatian Maslany Set to Return

Series star Tatiana Maslany will be back for the final run.

"Orphan Black" is a thrilling, genre-bending ride that has captured our fans' imaginations and hearts like no other show," said BBC America president Sarah Barnett.

Added co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson, "We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show."

And just to think that the entire series plot line started from such mundane beginnings.

That would be when an already troubled Beth Childs (Maslany) zeroed in on her unknown identical woman, Sarah Manning (Maslany), before jumping to her death.

From that day forward, the two have been intertwined in a clone conspiracy that has come to more or less overtake Sarah's exisence.

Besides Maslany, the cast also includes Ari Millen, Jordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Skyler Wexler, Kevin Hanchard, Evelyne Brochu, Kristian Bruun and Josh Vokey.
