WWE Raw Results & Spoilers for May 27, 2014: Evolution Dismantles The Shield Days Before "Payback"
The show kicks off with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in the ring requesting "Raw" general manager Brad Maddox answer questions over why The Shield's Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were made guest commentators last week on "Raw" during their teammate's Seth Rollin's match against Evolution's.
Maddox said he was forced into the decision by The Shield and had no choice before The Authority said they also had no choice and fed Maddox to Kane, who chokeslammed him and hit Maddox with a Tombstone Pile-driver. After Kane was done with Maddox, McMahon fired him while he was laid out.
Rob Van Dam vs Cesaro (w/ Paul Heyman)
RVD and Cesaro had a great back-and-forth physical match, before Intercontinental Champion "Bad News" Barrett -- who has a title defense against Van Dam at Payback and who was doing commentary during the bout -- distracted Van Dam, allowing Cesaro to sneak up and hit a German Suplex, cradling the move for a pin and the victory. After Cesaro won, United States Champion Sheamus -- who battles Cesaro at Payback for the title -- hit Cesaro with a Brogue Kick to knock the "King of of Swing" out.

Winner: Eva Marie
Drew McIntyre (with 3MB's Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, and Hornswoggle) vs El Torito (w/ Los Matadores)

After the match, Hornswoggle ambushed El Torito, attempting to take his mask off before settling on taking his tail as a souvenir.

Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family came out to send a message to John Cena's "Cenation" before their Last Man Standing match at Payback this Sunday, and demanded that Jerry "The King" Lawler enter the ring so he could have a few words with him, since he was good friends with Cena. Lawler relented, which only caused Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to "insist" he join Wyatt in the ring, with Harper taking out fellow commentator JBL with a Clothesline From Hell before forcing Lawler into the ring. The Wyatts had bad intentions for Lawler before Cena and the Usos made the save, warning Wyatt his days in the WWE are numbered at Payback after their match.
Zack Ryder vs Alexander Rusov (w/ Lana)
Rusov mauled the much smaller Ryder, overpowering him with brute strength and forcing him to submit to The Accolade for the win. After the match, Rusov would not let go of the hold, forcing Big E to run down the aisle and bail Ryder our of his predicament
Winner: Alexander Rusov
Evolution's Randy Orton & Batista vs Cody Rhodes & Goldust
The matche was scheduled after Rhodes and Goldust complained to Triple H earlier in the night, about being left off the show for two weeks in a row, with the WWE COO promising them action since they were so condescending to his Evolution cohorts and eager for a fight. Rhodes managed to nail Batista with the Disaster Kick and was getting ready to hit Orton with the same maneuver before eating an RKO and losing the match. After the Rhodes was pinned, the announcer declared that the match was an Elimination match and Goldust would have to face both Evolution members on his own. After the announcement, Orton and Batista pounced on Goldust, who fight back as best as he could before eating an Orton RKO, taking a Spear and Batista-Bomb from Batista for the defeat.
Winner: Evolution
Bo Dallas vs Sin Cara
Dallas made his "Raw" debut days after battling the masked Mexican luchador in his "Smackdown" debut and the result was the same for Sin Cara, eating Dallas' Bo-Dog finisher to earn his first Monday night victory on the main roster.
Winner: Bo Dallas
Stephanie McMahon came out to the ring, asking that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan join her, so that he may decide whether to relinquish his title or hold on to it while he recovers from his neck surgery. Bryan said that while he understands giving up the title is what's best for business since he cannot defend it, considering his history with The Authority, it would not be a wise move on his part to give up the belts. McMahon said that she would give him time to reconsider -- until Payback -- and that if he doesn't do the right thing by then, she will fire his wife Brie Bella from the WWE.
Emma vs Alicia Fox
Coming off a non-title victory over WWE Divas Champion Paige, Fox wanted to continue her roll only to get stopped dead in her tracks by Emma, who surprised her with a roll-up to steal the victory after Fox missed trying to kick Emma's face in. After the match was over, Fox laid Emma out and ranted like a lunatic, taking the defeat very hard and very violently.
Winner: Emma
Damien Sandow vs Adam Rose
Sandow faced off against Rose and his "Exotic Express" dressed in Davey Crockett gear and looked like he would get a hand from Jack Swagger -- who held "The Lemon" in Rose's entourage hostage -- to get the victory. Sandow failed to capitalize on the distraction before Rose drove Sandow's skull into the mat with his finisher -- the Party Foul, pinning him for the victory. Swagger did manage to get into the ring and put a frown on Rose's face after the match before Rose battled back, showing an angrier side of his care-free, party personality.
Winner: Adam Rose
United States Champion Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio (non-title)
Sheamus had Del Rio set up for a Brogue Kick only for ADR to hit the champion with a Shining Wizard to the back of his head. Del Rio followed up with a Super-Kick but despite being practically concussed, Sheamus recovered long enough for him to his Del Rio with the Brogue Kick for the win. After the bout, Paul Heyman distracted Sheamus as Cesaro sneaked up from behind to further hurt the champion, hitting him with his Neutralizer, with their title match just days away.
Winner: Sheamus
The Shield came out to the ring to do their contract signing for their Six-Man Elimination No-Hold-Barred match against Evolution, with the "Hounds of Justice" tossing furniture out of the ring to prepare for an eventual brawl. Once the contract was signed, all six men did not waste time and started a melee in the ring. Triple H managed to get his hands on his trusty sledgehammer and nailed Reigns with it, as Orton and Batista slowed down Rollins and Ambrose. Evolution then dragged Reigns out of the ring and put him through a table with the Triple Power-Bomb to end the show.
