Could Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd make appearances in upcoming Marvel films?

Marvel President Kevin Feige recently spoke to the Huffington Post and hinted that both actors could potentially join the Marvel family in future films.

When asked why Gordon-Levitt, one of the stars of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," kept being linked to a comic book franchise, Feige responded, "Well, sometimes it's because we are legitimately talking, and sometimes it's just because he's a prominent actor out there now. And lots of rumors surround prominent actors."

He was then asked about rumors regarding Rudd's involvement in the hotly anticipated "Ant-Man" movie. This time Feige responded, "Well, nothing is true yet. I like Paul Rudd, too."

The "too" is very telling as the question was a follow-up to the Gordon-Levitt one; this implies that Feige has considered the two men for some upcoming Marvel film. They may even be up for the "Ant-Man" film.

During an interview with IGN, Feige hinted that the casting for the film would be revealed before the end of the year, meaning that there have been talks with actors and there must be some upcoming decision on who the role will be given to.

"[They are] tweaking the drafts [of the script] with Joe Cornish ... and we're crewing up and prepping," he told IGN. "There should be cast announcements, probably before the end of the year."

The film is slated for a November 2015 release date and will be directed by Edgar Wright.
