Global drama curator Walter Presents expands its domain, as it will launch on the Latin American region through DMD's streaming service, CiND!E (Cindie). The Video on Demand (VOD) service is known to offer non-English dramas and series.

Variety reported that Walter Presents teamed up with DMD, a worldwide distributor of indie or independent content whose Transaction Video On Demand (TVOD) or pay-per-view contents, and EST movie service is available to more than 36 million Latin American households. DMD utilizes their streaming service CiND!E (Cindie) in offering non-English content to viewers and reaches Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

Walter Presents Expands in Latin America Through Streaming Service Cindie

Apart from Latin America other territories were also reached by Walter Presents such as the U.S. through PBS and Russia. Walter Presents will be available in the streaming service Cindie by July 15, according to a report from Television Business International. Latin America will mark the 10th and latest territory, where Walter Presents will be available.

The chief content officer of DMD, Maurice van Sabben expressed their belief in partnering with Walter Presents in expanding their content on Cindie.

"We have been admirers of Walter Presents and believe that audiences across Latin America will embrace its high quality and award-winning series," said Sabben.

DMD's chief content officer also shared that their belief was anchored on their experience, stating that they "successfully launched their independent film service across Latin America" several years ago, when they brought great award-winning movies like "Parasite" and "Portrait on Lady on Fire." Sabben noted that that was made possible through teaming up with major platforms in the region.

Co-sounder Walter Iuzzolino said that it was his "long-term" goal to launch in Latin America. Iuzzolino furthered that that partnering with DMD will also make their collection reach more audiences.

"With its cultural heritage and long-standing appreciation for visual content, I am excited for Latin American audiences to discover our high-quality and award-winning series," said the co-founder of Walter Presents.

Walter Presents will offer at least 150 hours worth of content on Cindie. Among those was a French psychological drama "Mother is Wrong,"; "the Adulterer" which is a Dutch crime thriller; and a drama that was inspired by a true story "Amsterdam Vice."

Apart from expanding in Latin America through Cindie, earlier this month Walter Presents bought the rights to a Spanish series entitled "La Otra Mirada" for U.S. and Canada. Furthermore, the global content curator also inked a deal with NTV to offer the Russian Drama "Murderous Fever" to the U.K. U.S. New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.

Walter Presents was co-founded by Walter Iuzzolino, Jason Thorp, and Jo McGrath five years ago. It was first launched on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. Because of a vast collection of non-English contents, DuJour reported that Walter Presents were labeled as the "Netflix of foreign television."

Some of Walter Presents' hit non-English contents are "Spin," a French House of Cards-Esque political drama, and "Valkyrien" which is a Norwegian thriller.
