Argentina: Sergio Aguero Makes Hilarious Confession on Lifting Lionel Messi During World Cup Celebration
Sergio Aguero is one of Argentina's greatest players in history. While he was not part of that World Cup-winning team, he traveled with Lionel Messi and his crew and even celebrated with them. He was partying so much that he ignored his good friend Lionel Messi and drank a ton of booze.
According to the Mirror, Messi told his friend that he must stop drinking, but Aguero just ignored him.
Aguero, who made his name with Manchester City before retiring with FC Barcelona following a heart problem, was the one who hoisted Messi in his back as the Paris Saint-Germaine star hoisted the World Cup. He is now a Twitch streamer, as his heart condition makes it dangerous for him to play soccer anymore.
He told the story of the celebration while on stream. He joked that Messi almost put him in the hospital when he did that, and when asked if his back hurt while doing that, he answered, "Of course, my back hurt a lot. When I raised him I said: 'S***. He weighs."
Messi seemed to realize that his friend was hurting, so when they exchanged glances, he told the World Cup winner, "'All good, you're world champion, but my back hurts.' And there he got off. He was on his knees afterwards."
After that, Aguero started drinking, and according to The Mirror, he drank a lot. He was well aware of his condition but admitted that if something would happen to him while celebrating, let it happen there as Argentina celebrated their victory.
He was drinking so much that Messi became angry at his friend and told him to stop. Aguero ignored him and continued downing even more alcohol anyway.
Lionel Messi Returns to Paris Saint-Germaine
Messi's 10-day vacation back home in Argentina after his World Cup victory is finally over. He is now in Paris, reporting for duty back to PSG.
When Messi returned for practice, he was given a warm welcome as his teammates and several PSG staff clapped when he made his return. According to ESPN, he was then given a gold trophy with a star with his name on it by PSG sporting director Luis Campos. This was to commemorate the Argentinian's World Cup victory.
Kylian Mbappe, whom Messi defeated in that World Cup Final thriller, was not present as he was on a club-sanctioned vacation in the United States. As for the other member of PSG's Big 3, Neymar was one of the first people to congratulate Messi on his victory upon his return to Paris.
Lionel Messi's Contract Extension With PSG on the Agenda
