Raiders Icon Is Worried About Potential Tom Brady Move: Here's Why
Assuming the Las Vegas Raiders replace Derek Carr, they need a quarterback, and Tom Brady may be their option.
However, one of the Raiders' all-time greats does not want the QB to be anywhere near Vegas, said Fox News.
Tim Brown knows it's a "possibility," but he still feels the Raiders should take a different approach due to his age.
"I don't think Tom Brady should be in the plans at all..." Brown said on CBS Sports Radio. "I think he's starting to show that he's 45-46 years old."
Tim Brown believes Brady's lack of athleticism is becoming a disadvantage in light of the league's younger, more mobile quarterbacks.
"When you look at the quarterbacks in the league today, you have very few who are pocket quarterbacks," Brown continued. "Joe Burrow is probably the closest thing you get, but God knows when it's time to run, he can get out of the pocket and make it happen."

Tom Brady in Las Vegas Raiders?
Given that Tom Brady's two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is about to expire and the Las Vegas Raiders are eager to move on from Derek Carr, the 45-year-old has been connected with a sensational move to Sin City during the offseason.
A trade for Brady would make sense given Brady's connection with head coach Josh McDaniels, who was on Bill Belichick's coaching staff in New England when the Patriots won seven Super Bowls. He led the Patriots offense as their coordinator from 2012-2019.
However, Brown is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in NFL history and is not fond of the idea of a reunion, per The Daily Mail.
The silver and black icon continued by explaining why he does not think his former team would be a suitable fit for one of the oldest quarterbacks in NFL history.
Las Vegas Raiders Signed Tom Brady's Ex-Super Bowl Teammate
With their roster move this week, the Las Vegas Raiders may be looking ahead a few weeks or months.
According to ESPN's Field Yates on Wednesday, the Raiders have acquired wide receiver Tyler Johnson to a reserve/futures contract. With the start of the new season, Johnson's contract will officially begin (March 15).
Johnson, 24, was a 2020's fifth-round pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After collecting 12 catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns in his debut season, he helped Tom Brady and the Bucs win the Super Bowl, according to Larry Brown Sports.
The following year, Johnson improved his performance in Tampa Bay, with 36 receptions for 360 yards.
After being cut by Tampa Bay before the 2022 season, he spent time with the Houston Texans before being re-signed to the Bucs' practice squad in October.
Johnson's acquisition coincides with a recent report that the Raiders are optimistic about their chances of signing Tom Brady now that they have Josh McDaniels, Brady's former offensive coordinator, as their head coach and are moving on from Derek Carr.
