Tom Brady Retirement: Patriots Boss Makes 1 Plea for NFL Icon
Tom Brady has been offered a one-day contract for the Patriots by the team owner Robert Kraft, just so he could officially retire as a player of the Patriots.
Brady is currently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback when he announced his second round of retirement.
Kraft said that he was not the only one who wants it, adding that Patriot fans "are clamoring for it." The Patriots owner said that Brady has always been and always will be a Patriot for them, according to CNN.
Kraft added that they will "do everything in our power" to sign Brady back to the Patriots while finding ways to honor Brady "for many years to come."
Brady left the Patriots after the 2019 season and played three more seasons with the Buccaneers.
Kraft delivered a final message to his former quarterback, saying that the Brady is "part of our family." He also thanked the Buccaneers QB for being part of the New England Patriots, as quoted in Patriots' news release.
It was not the first Tom Brady retirement that shocked football fans. Brady first retired in February 2022, which showed to be a temporary decision when he came back with Buccaneers for one more season.

The quarterback announced his retirement from NFL on Wednesday, with him saying in a short video posted on social media that he is retiring "for good."
Brady said that "you only get one super emotional retirement essay," noting that he already used his up last year, according to Fox News.
He then thanked everyone who was involved in his career over the years.
The quarterback also posted a series of photos after his announcement, which included photos of his family, ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, former teammates, and previous opponents.
Brady also shared a photo of his former partner Bridget Moynahan, with whom he shares a son.
In 2022, he posted a retirement speech thanking Bündchen for being "the most loving and supportive wife," and allowing him to focus on his career.
The Brazilian supermodel and Brady announced their divorce last October after 13 years of marriage.

Brady is expected to be part of the Fox family after signing a deal in 2022 with Fox Sports, which would propel him to the role of a TV broadcaster.
The deal was reportedly worth $375 million for 10 years, according to The New York Times.
Aside from his Fox Sports deal, he has various ventures such as the health and wellness company TB12 Sports with his longtime Alex Guerrero.
In addition, Brady also owns a media company "Religion of Sports," and the Brady Brand clothing line.
