Idaho Murder Suspect Bryan Kohberger Spotted at University of Idaho Campus Before Killings
Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger was seen at the University of Idaho's Student Union building weeks before the four college students were killed, according to witnesses.
Three students told PEOPLE that they believe they saw Kohberger at the Student Union building on the Idaho campus weeks before the killings. They said they later recognized the suspect after he was arrested for the murders.
Chelsea, a sophomore at the University of Idaho, said she saw Kohberger at the food court of the Student Union, drinking water while sitting by himself "early in the semester." The 28-year-old Idaho murder suspect was a graduate student at Washington State University, about eight miles away across the state line.
Chelsea said Kohberger "was the type to stare" and would not "look away if you caught him staring." She noted that the suspect did not smile, nod, or say anything and "just stared."
"I told my friend not to be suspicious but to look at him, because the eye contact was making me uncomfortable... It was so weird that we ended up leaving and eating outside, because we wanted to get away from him," she told the outlet.

Another female student told PEOPLE that she also became "uncomfortable" after Bryan Kohberger's intensely stared at her after she allegedly ran into him on the campus.
The student said she "definitely saw him more than once." She added that she saw the suspect frequently enough that she assumed he was also a student at the University of Idaho," Daily Mail reported.
The University of Idaho has yet to comment on the alleged Kohberger sightings. However, the campus hired more police and increased the number of officers on the ground after the murders, despite Kohberger's arrest.
These were not the only instances Kohberger made a woman uncomfortable. Jordan Serulneck, who runs Seven Siren Brewing Company in Kohberger's home state of Pennsylvania, recalled the suspect's problematic interactions with women at his bar.
Serulneck told NBC that Kohberger was a guy who makes creepy comments, and the suspect once called a staff "a b**ch" for refusing his advances.
Idaho Murder Suspect Bryan Kohberger Arrested
Bryan Kohberger was arrested in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains on December 30 after seven weeks of a nationwide manhunt for the killer who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death inside their shared house in Moscow, Idaho.
The case affidavit detailed that Kohberger was linked to the case after his DNA was found at the crime scene and his cell phone pinging near the locations of the victims.
Kohberger was charged with four counts of murder and one count of felony burglary. He has yet to enter a plea but will reportedly do so in his next court date in June. Through his lawyers, Kohberger earlier implied that he would be entering a "not guilty" plea.
