With his various scandals right now, many do not want to be associated with Donald Trump. This rings true for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who were not happy with what the ex-POTUS pulled with a recent campaign ad.

The two Hollywood A-listers star in the movie, "Air," which was about the story of how Nike landed Michael Jordan with their historic shoe deal and changed the world of sports forever. It included an inspiring monologue, which the Trump campaign used in its ad without the consent of Damon, Affleck, or their production company, Artists Equity.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Artists Equity released a statement regarding the Trump campaign's unauthorized use of their film's audio. It said, "We had no foreknowledge of, did not consent to and do not endorse or approve any footage or audio from 'Air' being repurposed by the Trump campaign as a political advertisement or for any other use."

"Specifically in terms of any and all rights available to us under U.S. copyright and intellectual property law, we hereby, expressly give notice that in the case of any use of material from 'Air' by the Trump campaign where approval or consent is required, we do not grant such consent," the statement added.

What Soundbite Did Donald Trump Use for His Campaign Video?

According to the BBC, the campaign ad used an audio narration by Matt Damon from the film. It was used over footage of Trump as a young boy and as president.

Damon's voice can be heard saying, "Money can buy you almost anything. It can't buy you immortality... that you have to earn." The audio then went on to say, "Once they've built you as high as they possibly can, they're going to tear you back down... it's the most predictable pattern, we build you into something that doesn't exist and that means you have to be that thing, all day, every day."

Finally, Damon's character stated, "And I'm going to tell you the truth: You're going to be attacked, betrayed, exposed, and humiliated... and you'll survive that."

The campaign video was released over the weekend, with Donald Trump himself posting it on Truth Social. So far, his campaign has not yet answered any requests for comment. It is also unclear if Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, or Artists Equity would be seeking legal action.

Other Artists Sought Legal Action Against Donald Trump for Using Their Material Without Consent

This was not the first time the Trump campaign pulled off something like this and got in legal trouble. During a 4th of July event at Mount Rushmore, Donald Trump played "Rockin' In The Free World," and its performer, Neil Young, was not happy about it, saying on social media that "This is NOT ok with me."

Before this, Young wrote an open letter to the then-POTUS and called him a disgrace to the country and stated that he did not want him playing "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" in his rallies. This led Young to sue Trump for his continued usage of his songs.

Forbes also pointed out that the Rolling Stones was also not happy with Trump using their songs in his rallies. They also
