Amanda Bynes has left the Los Angeles hospital, where she was treated for mental illness and has now been checked into a rehabilitation center in Malibu.

Reports by TMZ say that Bynes is currently at The Canyon, a rehab that celebrities prefer because of its exclusiveness and luxury surroundings.

Byens has been staying at the facility for the past three weeks. The center says they are not providing Bynes the same level of treatment as she once was receiving at the UCLA Medical Center.

New doctors have been assigned to Bynes who have placed her under a different psychiatric hold called LPS hold. LPS hold is part of the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act. This means a center has the authority to hold and treat a mentally unstable patient against their will according to reports by TMZ.

Bynes can be held at the center up until 2015 if needed. Bynes is not allowed to interact with other patients. Gerald Shargel, Bayens lawyer, asked the court for an 18-month postponement so Bynes may continue her treatment.

The hearing he asked for postponement for is the case where Bynes allegedly threw a bong out of her 36th floor window, New York, apartment.

According to CNN, Bynes was disturbing residential neighborhood in Thousand Oak where the fire department was called because a gas can was burning in a residential driveway.

Bynes was sentenced to three years probation. Bynes was also arrested for a DUI.
