The Batman prequel and Jim Gordon origin story "Gotham" will air the mid-season finale this evening. The episode "LoveCraft" will show Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne on the run from assassins and much more.

Fox's official synopsis: "Selina leads a new friend on a perilous journey through Gotham to evade the assassins who are on her trail. Following a misstep, Gordon is reassigned to duty at Arkham Asylum in the all-new "Lovecraft" episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Nov. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

"LoveCraft" was directed by Guy Ferland and written by Rebecca Dameron. And the episode will star Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Erin Richards, Zabryna Guevara, Andrew Stewart-Jones and Victoria Cartegena.

The fall finale promises an explosive end to the first half of the freshman series. Following a misstep, Detective Jim Gordon is reassigned to duty at Arkham Asylum, which produces a myriad of interesting and dangerous consequences.

The episode will show the once painfully corrupt Harvey Bullock has nearly turned into the moral compass of the show. And Bruce and Selina run into an already unhinged (Poison) Ivy as they race away from assassins. Additionally, viewers will finally get to observe Alfred Pennyworth as a protector and father figure, not just a tough butler.

The "LoveCraft" episode of "Gotham" airs tonight, Nov. 24 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX. While it's the last episode until 2015, viewers can look to FOX and Hulu to revisit old episodes of the interesting origin tale.
