If you blinked, then you missed the mid-season finale of "The Flash." It was packed with big reveals such as love interests, a future nemesis and big guest stars from the 1990s.

The show's mid-season finale marked a successful run of the freshman series, where the entire cast is exceptional. But there is still more to come.  

Here are eight things you should know from the season's mid-season finale to be ready for the rest of Season 1. (Beware, there are spoilers ahead.)

1. Barry, or The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, finally confessed his feelings to Iris, Candice Patton. Iris's father, Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), and Barry's father Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) both knew Barry was in love with Iris when he first knew what love was. Unfortunately, Iris and Eddie's relationship has evolved.

2. Rick Cosnett's Eddie told Iris that they should move in together. Iris agreed.

3. The Justice League has a character by the name of Firestorm. Firestorm in "The Flash" is Caitlin Snow's (Danielle Panabaker) fiancé, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). Caitlin and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) go looking for him, but Caitlin learns the man she has loved for almost a year died; in Ronnie's place was meta-human Firestorm.

Caitlin says, "The man that I fell in love with, and the man that I saw today, I wished that man had died in the [particle accelerator] explosion."

4. The Reverse Flash? This character is faster than the "fastest man alive" and The Flash's nemesis. The Reverse Flash, as viewers have seen, is responsible for Nora Allen's murder.

5. "The Flash" stars of the 1990s make an appearance. Shipp's Henry appeared from prison to console and help Barry at the lowest point in his life. And Christina "Tina" McGee (Amanda Pays), the scientist from S.T.A.R. Labs, also makes an appearance. In this modern day version of "The Flash," Pays played Dr. Tina McGee, a head scientist from a rival lab called Mercury Labs.

It was epic to see Pays and Shipp back on screen–albeit not together.

6. How much does Henry know? When Henry tells Barry he knows his son loves Iris and that "the man in the yellow suit" should not be allowed to take anything more away, it became clear that he may know than het lets on. Maybe he was behind bars to protect himself and his family because he has a big secret.

Audiences are aware he was there the night his wife was murdered, but audiences don't know what comes after that.

7. The Flash appears to be no match for his nemesis. Or at the very least, Barry still has a lot more training to do in order for him to become an unstoppable force that saves the future. Barry is all caught up in his emotions, so he cannot function.

Just when you think Barry is about to die, Firestorm swoops in and blazes the man in the yellow suit. And The Reverse Flash backs off while Firestorm flies away, using his new powers.

8. The Reverse Flash It is none other than Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). He is consistent with the DC Comics version in the pre-New 52 Reverse Flash. Harrison has an obsession with a future Crisis, and he has seen The Flash's role in it.

Newsarama reported that Harrison's obsession with the future Crisis is what is driving him to control all of time and space. By pushing Barry, Harrison wants him to be ready and to be the best hero he can be. At the same time, Harrison shows how vicious he can be too.

At the end, Reverse Flash has the "tachyons" that will make him faster than The Flash.

The show left its audiences with many questions: Why did the Reverse Flash beat himself up? Why did the Reverse Flash not harm Eddie? How does the dynamic of Iris and Barry's friendship change now once the season returns?
