As internet woes continue to plague the best-selling Grand Theft Auto 5 video game, there may be some users who are content with just playing the offline version of the game. In that case, we have a number of ways for you to keep yourself occupied with some fun cheats and codes.

Thanks to IGN, there are plenty of ways to bend the rules in the game -- but then again, bending the rules is part of the whole theme, right?

Let's take a look at some of the new cheats and treasures worth trying in GTA 5. Keep in mind that these could change if we see the game released on the upcoming PS4 or Xbox One.

Easy Money: According to ign_cheats on ign.com, you can make your way to the north area of the map and locate an airplane that has crashed. In the area surrounding the airplane, a briefcase with $12,000 is floating around and you can claim it for yourself. That's not all, though -- it gets even better. You can then change characters before switching back to the original character by the water and you've found gold yet again. The money is apparently still in the area.

Another way to get money isn't as simple -- or lucrative -- but IGN still lists it as a way to rack up $5,000 (or sometimes more). Early in the game you can find armored vehicles as blips on the radar when driving. After attacking the vehicle, destroy the back door in order to take the money and then find a way to escape the police.

Internet Problems

Rockstar Games recently released a statement to address the issues that have spoiled the historic release of the game, but apparently these problems have persisted. Many players have complained that their characters have been deleted; here is the statement from the company:

"We are continuing to investigate the causes of the lost progress and what can be done to minimize the impact until a permanent fix is in place. Also, we have not forgotten about the requests for restoration. We are in the process of determining the options for addressing the issues for those players who have been affected."
