Director of "Doctor Strange" Scott Derrickson tweeted a picture that resembles British actor Benedict Cumberbatch with a mustache and the same hair as Marvel's Doctor Strange on Sunday night via Twitter.

"'Strange but not a stranger' - Talking Heads," the tweet said.

Derrickson's tweet is an excerpt from the lyrics of the Talking Heads song "Burning Down the House," CNET reports, but combined with the picture, it was enough for fans to think that it was an official concept art of what Cumberbatch would look like as Doctor Strange in the upcoming Marvel movie.

Derrickson sahred another tweet to clairfy.

"Last tweet is online fan art, not official. I have no idea who made it," he tweeted a few minutes later.

It was confirmed earlier in December that Cumberbatch would play Doctor Strange in the upcoming movie.

"Stephen Strange's story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity," producer Kevin Feige said in a press release on Marvel.com. "In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."

The "Sherlock" actor won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie in 2014, and in 2013 he won the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year. Cumberbatch has also had roles in tjhe award-winning "12 Years a Slave," as well as "War Horse," "Star Trek Into Darkness," "The Fifth Estate" and "Parade's End." The British actor also starred on stage in "Hamlet" directed by Lyndsey Turner at the Barbican. Cumberbatch has a dynamic background. He starred in "The Imitation Game" as mathematician and logician Alan Turing and is scheduled to play as Smaug and the Necromancer in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies."

"Doctor Strange" is a story of a neurosurgeon named Doctor Stephen Strange who discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after surviving a serious car accident.

Derrickson directed "Sinister," "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" and "Deliver Us from Evil."

Fans will await for official concept art while they anticipate the movie's release on Nov. 4, 2016.
