Moto G (2015) Specs & Features: Unboxing Photos Leak More Details; 2GB Model Price Set at $180?
The Moto G (third gen) may not surprise industry watchers anymore. Leaked images of its unboxing have been making the rounds online before its rumored scheduled release later this week.
The photos, assumed to be of a version of the device for Brazil, spoiled everything there is to know about the latest Motorola offering.
The photos, which were uploaded on the Hellomotohk Facebook account, showed the device itself, its box, a USB cable, and a charger. Here are photos one, two, and three.
The device's temporary screen protector has the "third generation" text over it and has the device's other specifications.
Apparently, Motorola will release two variants of the Moto G (third gen) and it is likely that one of them is the cheaper model featured in the leaked photos.
The rumored cheaper Moto G comes with an IPX7 waterproof rating, 16 gigabyte storage, 4G connectivity, and DTV capabilities. The device will be able to house two SIM cards. It will employ a 13 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, Pocket Now described.
Android Headlines elaborated that the device will have 720p resolution, and will run through the expected 1.4 Ghz quad-core processor.
There isn't much more to speculate about the Moto G (third gen) as key information on the device has already been reported.
In fact, luckily for Motorola fans and unfortunately for Motorola, the upcoming Moto G's price has also been leaked through screenshots that surfaced on Friday.
The stills first emerged from Droid-Life. If the website's sources were correct, the Motorola Moto G (third gen) will be available for purchase for $180, without a contract under US Cellular.
It is still unclear, though, whether or not this price is for the cheaper 1 gigabyte RAM variant or the 2GB RAM variant of the Moto G (third gen). However, Both units are said to include micro SD card slots and will be capable of storing up to 64 gigabyte worth of data.
The Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) will be operating on the recently updated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be powered by a 2,470 mAh removable battery.
Motorola will be hosting press events on July 28, in London, Sao Paulo and New York, viewable via livestream. Expect the Moto G (third gen) to make an appearance during these events.
The mobile company has teased "A better mobile relationship is on its way" on its official website.
