"Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage might star in the pilot episode in HBO's new series "Beasts of Valhalla".

An article on If.co.au reported that Justin Monjo will be working with Red Hour films the television adaptation of the late George Chesbro's "Beasts of Valhalla" series of novels. Monjo is famously known for his work as one of the writers of the sci-fi television series, "Farscape" which ran from 1999 to 2003.

Here is an overview from Amazon: "The novel that radically altered the nature of the Mongo series, this book blends a classic detective style of science fiction and fantasy. Chesbro takes readers on a wild roller-coaster ride, using the structure and elements of Wagner's Ring Cycle and Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings.'"

After reading the books several years ago and deciding on creating a screen adaptation, Monjo could not decide on an actor who could play the protagonist Mongo, a detective in the novels. This changed after seeing Dinklage's performance as Tyrion Lannister in the GoT.

He said, "HBO and Red hour think he's the perfect guy for the part and we are very excited about the project."

Although Dinklage's participation in a new HBO series is good news for his fans, it may be considered bad for Tyrion's followers. Monjo and his team stated that they are planning to begin production for "Valhalla" sometime in 2016, "after Dinklage finishes with Game of Thrones."

As Cinemablend pointed out, this could mean several things: Either Monjo will work with Dinklage after the actor finishes shooting the entire GoT season, or he is waiting for the actor's GoT schedule to clear up, permanently. In other words, Dinklage's beloved Tyrion might get killed-off in the upcoming seasons or GoT will be taken off the air by 2016.

But, keep in mind that these are just speculations and there are no formal announcements yet regarding Tyrion's or the entire show's fate. For now, let's just sit back and patiently wait for GoT's fourth season and Dinklage's latest television project.
