Kim and Kyle Richards may or may not still be speaking, but they'll soon be standing side by side on Season 6 of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

Bustle reports even with Kim's substance problems finally addressed and seemingly behind her, issues between the two remain to the point they still aren't able to talk to one another.

Kyle recently sat down with "Real Housewives" franchise head honcho Andy Cohen for a radio interview during which she revealed while her sister is now sober their relationship will "probably always be a work in progress."

Kyle also admitted that the two starring on a reality TV show might not always be in the best interest of the two repairing their relationship.

"It's very difficult," she said. "We will be OK, and then the show reruns, and we're like, 'Oh my gosh,' and it kind of brings things up again, honestly."

The 51-year-old Kim was fired from the show last April after her substance abuse problems spiraled dangerously out of control. In one instance she was arrested for public intoxication at a Beverly Hills hotel and in another was arrested for attempting to shoplift $600 in merchandise from an area Target store.

"She was taking care of herself, so it made sense, but it just felt weird," Kyle said of her sister being off the show and attending rehab. "We started this together. We were the first ones on the show, so it felt very strange."

While Kim is no longer a full-time cast member and some media outlets have even reported she won't be compensated, word is she will be looking to settle plenty of preexisting beefs during a time on the show this season.

The show returns to the airwaves on Dec. 1, and also stars Lisa Rinna, Camille Grammer and Lisa Vanderpump.
