The Resident Evil 0 Remaster release date is set for next year. Excited gamers can now pre-order the game.

Major Nelson just announced that HD remastered Xbox One version of Resident Evil 0 is now available for pre-order. It is also offering a pre-order bundle with various bonus items.

According to the post, gamers who will secure a copy of Resident Evil 0 before its official release date will get two bonus costumes for Rebecca Chambers. There's also a free costume for Billy Coen, the Xbox Store noted.

Specifically, Resident Evil 0's pre-order bundle will include Rebecca's T-shirt that features an exclusive design. Gamers will also get Costume Pack 1 which has a cheerleader outfit for Rebecca, her costume from Resident Evil: Deadly Silence as well as a Wolf Force crossover costume for Billy.

Bleeding Cool shared that these pre-order bonus items will also be available to PC and other consoles except Xbox 360. Watch the trailer below:

Developed and published by Capcom, the upcoming game "reveals the truth behind the Mansion Incident, the catalyst for the entire storyline of the Resident Evil series." Gamers can expect the story and gameplay from the original version, but it adds highly-improved HD graphics, the description on Major Nelson noted.

The game also offers a 5.1 channel surround sound, support for widescreen TV compatibility. Players can also use the optional modernized controls featured in the HD remaster of Resident Evil 0.

Resident Evil 0 HD remaster for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC is officially set for a Jan. 18, 2016. Those who pre-order the Xbox One version can download the game as early as now, but it will not be playable until 12:01 am EST on its release date.

As for other Resident Evil news, Capcom recently clarified the confusion about Resident Evil 2. A previous Latin Post report noted that it will be a full remake and not a remastered version.

The issue started when Capcom's latest financial report referred to the upcoming game as a "remastered version of Resident Evil 2." To clear the matter, senior marketing director of Capcom UK, Stuart Turner took to Twitter to explain. He said, "Seems to be a few people picking up a mistranslation in our own investor report. RE2 will be a full from the ground up remake NOT a remaster."

The Resident Evil 2 remake was announced by Capcom in August and it is currently in development at R&D Division 1 of the game company. Yoshiaki Hirabayashi leads the development of the remake and he's also the producer of the 2015 remake of the original Resident Evil.
