Windows 10 Samsung Tablet Gets Certification, 12-Inch Device Rolling Out Early Next Year?
After rumors about the Windows 10 Samsung 12-inch tablet emerged online earlier this year, Phone Arena confirms that, indeed, the South Korean giant tech company is in the process of releasing the said tablet next year.
The mock-up model, SM-W700, was apparently for the 12-inch Samsung tablet and was recently certified by Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance. The said device was primarily sent to India for testing and was scheduled to be destroyed immediately after. It was also listed to have a price of $445, but that remains to be confirmed after the actual device is launched.
While there are no official details on the device's specs, Phone Arena said that the 12-inch tablet will probably have a screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 or 3,840 x 2,400. It will also have 4GB of RAM and an Intel Core M chip to run the device. The Samsung device may also include an S Pen so users can expect some features from the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 integrated into the new Samsung tablet.
For those who are wondering about its physical profile, the only thing that is coming out of the news is that it weighs around 600 grams and is 6.2 millimeters thick.
On the Interoperability Certification, the said Samsung device was certified last Nov. 18, 2015 under the product name and model number SM-W700. It was categorized as a tablet device with an operating system of Windows 10. It may take some time before Samsung can give an official statement about its specs. So it's best to wait until next year when it launches and provides concrete information about it.
According to Microsoft News, since the product has already been certified by Wi-Fi, it won't be too long before it's released.
Meanwhile, Samsung has been very busy promoting the Samsung Galaxy A series. In fact, they launched the lineup's first TV commercial for 2016. While the whole ad did not particularly talk about the Galaxy A series, its main purpose was to introduce the line to consumers. The ad suggests questions about Samsung's difference from other smartphone providers.
