'Bachelor' Alum Nikki Ferrell Engaged, Check Tyler Vanloo's Proposal Photo Here
The holidays are officially over but the former "Bachelor" contestant Nikki Ferrell is just starting to be officially engaged as her best friend and boyfriend Tyler Vanloo popped the big question during their Colorado trip.
Ferrell excitedly shared the news to her social media followers on Monday, Jan 4. She shared a photo of her and Vanloo during the proposal. Vanloo was seen kneeling down on one knee to ask the reality star's hand in marriage.
"And on the last day of vacation this happened! I can't wait to marry my best friend. Over the moon happy right now!" Ferrell wrote as a caption on Instagram alongside the photo taken in the snowy San Juan National Forest in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
Us Weekly reports that the former "Bachelor" contestant, who was the winner of "Bachelor" Season 18 with Juan Pablo Galavis last year, previously dated her co-star for seven months then broke up in October 2014.
The famous break-up was controversial as Galavis previously refused to say "I love you" during the "After the Final Rose." Ferrell was very vocal about their decision to break up January last year.
"It's not from a lack of trying on either side. I tried really hard, and he tried too," she told Chris Harrison during a red carpet special before Season 19 as quoted by Us Weekly. "I'm not a quitter. I tried everything, he tried, too. It wasn't just a one-side thing ... we real-life tried, not TV-tried."
"He lives in Miami and he's in the entertainment industry, and that's his job and his lifestyle. It was really hard for me to fit into that. At the end of the day we gave it a go but we're just two different people," she added.
Meanwhile, People revealed that although it's unclear when the couple started dating, the two were known to have a deep friendship even before they become lovers. Ferrell even shared a throwback photo of the two of them from years ago on Instagram three months ago.
Ferrell and Vanloo have not announced their wedding dates as of current.
