New music isn't the only thing Rubio has going on this year. The pop star is expecting her second child and recently made headlines when her mother revealed the unborn baby's sex.
According to TVyNovelas, the singer's mother revealed that Rubio, who announced her second pregnancy in December and is already far along, is expecting another boy.
During an interview with the Spanish-language program "Hoy," Rubio's mother Susana Dosamantes shared her excitement over getting another grandchild from her famous daughter.
"I found out just like everyone else. I was one of the first, and it is wonderful, a new boy," she explained.
Rubio previously shared her excitement over her pregnancy with Hello magazine, where she revealed the news with a cover story featuring the star, her partner Gerardo Bazúa and son from a previous relationship, Andrea.
"My pregnancy is wanted and unexpected. I've always wanted to have more kids," Rubio said. "When I found out I was going to be a mom again, I felt I was a very lucky woman. It is wonderful to feel life in you. I enjoy pregnancy in every single way."
