On Jan. 25, Univision will premiere its latest series, "El Hotel de los Secretos," which will tell a love story in early twentieth century Mexico.

According to an Univision press release, the series is a remake of a Spanish series and will include romance, mystery and historical depictions.

The series will begin with the encounter of two strangers, Alicia Alarcón (Irene Azuela) and Julio Olmedo (Erick Elías), on a train. The two have an instant spark but must go their separate ways. Little do they know that their journeys will lead them both to the same hotel.

Just as Alicia, the wealthy daughter of Doña Teresa (Diana Bracho), the hotel owner, arrives to the establishment as a guest, Julio takes a job as a waiter.

Julio takes the job to investigate the disappearance of his sister Cristina (Elena Herrera), who was an employee at the hotel. In the process, he falls in love with Alicia, and the two must overcome social class and family loyalty to be together.

The series will also be filled with plenty of dark secrets, betrayal, murder and ghosts.

Filmed in Mexico, the series is produced by Televisa's Roberto Gómez Fernández ("El color de la pasión," "Locura de amor") and also stars Daniela Romo ("La Tempestad"), Jorge Poza ("Mujeres Asesinas"), Dominika Paleta, Ilse Salas, Ximena Herrera, Sofía Castro, Alejandro de la Madrid, Claudia Ramírez and Jesús Ochoa.

On Jan. 19, Poza revealed the official poster for the series on his Twitter account, which illustrates the series' similarities to fellow period drama "Downton Abbey."
