GTA 5 Online Gameplay: Rockstar Games Targets Another Money Glitch for Grand Theft Auto V Game
Rockstar Games has restored Grand Theft Auto Online's Content Creator after a glitch forced them to shut it down temporarily.
Starting at around 3 p.m. on April 21, the Content Creator feature went offline.
"Access to the GTA Online Creator has been temporarily disabled to stop the spread of a new exploit," Rockstar Games said via its support page. "We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to make the Creator available again as soon as possible."
According to gaming sources, the "exploit" in question allowed gamers to purchase everything Grand Theft Auto Online has for sale without paying a single GTA$. The trick reportedly came from Se7enSins, where step-by-step instructions are listed as well as a YouTube video for further clarification. As Cinema Blend summarized, basically, "The bug was accomplished by creating and then abandoning a Deathmatch."
Some were happy to know that steps were being taken to get rid of the bug.
"There must have been a huge number of players who took advantage of this exploit and went on shopping sprees, but thankfully Rockstar Games has deactivated the GTA Online Content Creator that was necessary for the exploit to work," Segment Next reported.
As of yesterday, however, gamers are able to use the Content Creator.
"Access to the GTA Online Creator is once again available," Rockstar Games announced. "Thanks for your patience and understanding."
Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto Online fans are still waiting for Rockstar Games to implement some more changes, namely debuting its Heists and The High Life updates. The High Life update will feature new ways to live lavishly with new apartment decor, clothing, the Bullpup Rifle and new Jobs. It will also add three new vehicles and the Dink Thrust motorcycle to the game. Both updates lack a release date beyond "this spring."
"For those asking about other spring updates, we'll have more info on the High Life update and Heists coming soon, stay tuned," Rockstar Games said early this month.
