Singer Mariah Carey and billionaire Australian boyfriend James Packer are engaged after just eight months of dating.

E! Online reports Packer recently popped the question by getting down on one knee and gifting the "Hero" singer with a 35-carat engagement ring described as breathtaking. While no official date has been set, Carey and Packer have seemingly been marching to the altar ever since their whirlwind romance commenced.

"They fell head over heels in love with one another," a source said. "It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn't be happier."

During their brief time together, the two have seemingly ventured on more romantic dates across the world than you can count, from Ibiza to St. Bart's to Italy and even to Packer's homeland of Australia, where they rang in the New Year with his mom at the Melbourne Crown casino, which he owns.

In June of 2015, the two embarked on an excursion to the Western Wall in Israel.

"There is only one place at the Western Wall where men and woman can stand together and it was meaningful for him to take her there so that they could share this very intimate moment as a couple," a source told E!.

In February, Carey is slated to start the third leg of her sold out Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, followed by a world tour where Packer is expected to join her for most of the dates.

Each of them has already been married twice before, with Carey sharing twin 4-year-olds with Nick Cannon. She was also previously married to music industry executive Tommy Mottola.

Packer, meanwhile, is father to three young children.

Carey is also known for such hits as "Vision of Love," "Someday," "I'll Be There" and "I Don't Want to Cry."
