Pitbull, Justin Bieber Added to List of Grammy Performers
Latino star Pitbull has been added to the still growing list of artists slated to perform at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards later this month.
In an announcement made on Instagram, Grammy Awards officials are touting the Cuban-American rapper's appearance as "bringing the party to the 58th Grammys stage live."

Grammys previously announced that joining Mr. Worldwide on the stage as a performer that star-studded evening will be Adele, Lionel Ritchie, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and Little Big Town.
Born Armando Christian Perez, Pitbull is also nominated for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album. Pablo Alboran, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Julieta Vengas, Banda El Recoco, Los Tigres del Norte, Juan Luis Guerra y 4.40 and Victor Manuelle are among the other Latino artists also nominated for awards.
During the telecast, The Recording Academy is also scheduled to honor the late Celia Cruz with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Latin Post previously reported Cruz, who died in 2003, won three Grammy Awards and four Latin Grammy Awards over her career. Known as the salsa queen, she also recorded albums with Johnny Pacheco and Willie Colon. As a solo artist, 23 of her albums went gold.
Among her biggest hits are such classics as "I'll Wait For You," "I Know," "5-10-15 Hours," and "Mambo Baby." She also later went on to have a dazzling career in theater.
Linda Ronstadt, Ruth Brown, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Jefferson Airplane and Run-D.M.C. are also among this year's lifetime honorees.
The show will air live on CBS on Feb. 15, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Hip hop star Lamar tops all artists with 11 nominations, followed by Taylor Swift and The Weeknd both with seven each. Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Kanye West and Marron 5 all garnered five nominations apiece.
A ceremony and concert celebrating the careers of all the lifetime honored performers will be held in the spring on an as-yet-unspecified date.
