The Victoria's Secret Angels are already the stuff that dreams are made of, but now they're not just supermodels -- they're also superheroes. In the latest issue of Garage Magazine, cover girls Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Lexi Boling, and Cuba Tornado Scott take on Marvel favorites and give them a new, sexy twist.

According to a report from Elle, the five models donned their comic-inspired couture garb for five different covers shot by renowned fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. It's a new interpretation of beloved characters from the Marvel universe, one that long-time fans may not be used to seeing.

Marvel Comics director of content development and editor Sana Amanat explained that the fusion of the comic book and fashion worlds in one project encapsulates a key vision of the company.

"Reinterpreting our superheroes through these fashion magazine covers perfectly demonstrates what we believe about our characters -- the idea that anyone can express their own unique identity and individualism," Amanat said.

Capturing the best of girl power, veteran Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima led the pack as the She-Hulk. The Brazilian beauty considers her grandmother her own personal superhero while her daughters Valentina and Sienna are her adorable sidekicks.

Fellow top model Karlie Kloss chose a similarly cute sidekick -- her dog -- but she also wanted girls to know that there are different kinds of heroes and role models in the world.

"Role models come in many forms, from fictional superheroes to incredible businesswomen to strong female athletes," Kloss explained in a report from People Style Watch. "It's important that young girls have fierce and strong role models to look up to, and that's what this project is really about."

Lima agreed to add, "I think it's very important that children, young girls specifically, are exposed to strong and diverse female role models in art, literature, entertainment and of course, real life."

Also featured in the magazine is another Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel who wowed in her Spider-Gwen getup. While her comic book counterpart has numerous special abilities, Swanepoel admitted that the superpower she would like to have is the ability to read minds. Still, the model considers being a woman special enough especially their biggest strength: "Being able to create life."

Other models included in the shoot are Boling as Captain Marvel and Scott as Thor. Makeup was done by Pat McGrath and styling headed by Chaos Fashion, the Elle report revealed.

This issue of Garage Magazine is set to hit the stands on Feb. 11.
