Two of the many great strengths of "Arrow" are the adrenaline-pumping action and the relationship between Oliver and Felicity -- both of which could face serious challenges ahead, particularly in episode 13 with Felicity bound to her wheelchair.

According to a report from Ask Ausiello in TV Line, showrunner Wendy Mericle has admitted to Matt Mitovich that Felicity's struggles on a wheelchair are nowhere near over and viewers will still see her face obstacles in the coming episodes.

"There's a big decision she and Oliver are going to make at the end of [Episode 413, airing Feb. 10], and it will inform a journey in 414 and 415 that she goes on with respect to how she's going to handle being in a relationship, from the point of view of somebody who's in a wheelchair. It's a very small thing, but it is powerful and it is very emotional," Mericle said.

Other characters are set to face their own set of challenges as well, according to a report from Carter Matt. Oliver will consider an offer from Nyssa, who will also be subject to a "heart to heart talk" with Laurel. The synopsis revealed that Thea is still fighting the irresistible blood lust while her biological father Malcolm Merlyn will be trying to help her amid threats to his life.

The trailer expounds further on the plotline for the next episode as it's revealed that Oliver will be tasked to kill his sister's father Malcolm by Nyssa and a duel is set to take place between the two men.

The upcoming episode will also likely touch on the big reveal that took place last week: the identity of Felicity's father. Now that the viewers know that Oliver's lady love is the daughter of hacktivist The Calculater -- also known as Noah Cutler -- the team will be expanding on the story arc for the rest of the season.

In a separate interview with TV Line, Mericle revealed more about the father and daughter relationship that is set to cause ripples throughout the show and how it will go down in the coming episodes. The showrunner promised that the show will get to know the "complicated" father more in the next episode and the reasons for his actions.

The events will affect Felicity greatly as well and the character will be torn as Mericle added, "She wants to believe that her father loves her and that he has a vested interest in who she is and knowing her and having a relationship with her, and she feels very torn about that -- even though she knows right off that bat, at the top of [next episode], who he really is."
